Each awarded contract will have an assigned Contracts Manager, Site Agent, Foreman whom have various Job Descriptions.Site supervision is a major focus within DevTech Civils to ensure good quality and performance. Labour on the Site is made up of teams of ± 8 to 10 and are under the supervision of an Induna. Depending on the size of the awarded Contracts, labour crews between 40 and 50 no.(4 to 5) teams are employed thus ensuring that an optimum number of resources are available on Site to accommodate the Contract programme and time period. Skilled Artisans such as Carpenters, Bricklayers and Kerblayers are subcontracted as required.
We have an excellent set of Admin Staff who processes all material and plant orders, payments to creditors and sub-contractors, salaries and wages timeously and efficiently.
With the base of our Company firmly set, our focus within the company is diverging into employee training. We have elected certain educational courses with S.A.F.C.E.C and B.I.F.S.A. for employees from the community who have shown the interest and the motivation to proceed through the ranks of our organization. This will be our grounding for Black Empowerment within our organization and will facilitate greater job creation and satisfaction of our employees and in turn contribute to their well being. We have also initiated the employment of PDI students to help with their development in becoming Site Managers within our organization.
DevTech Civils have Safety Officers, who ensure our sites are well managed in terms of the applicable heath and safety regulations laid down by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993). As a company we have also been exposed to ISO 9001 standards and have complied with International Standards. We make it our duty to work safely and Believe that "A Safe Site is a Productive Site".
